Introduction
In 1992, after 20 years of research and development, S.I.T Schiffs-&Industrie Technik GmbH, first patented the CD92 Homogenizer. This marked the birth of the mechanical method of treating residual fuel oil and the beginning of the Homogenizer industry worldwide. Tribute is due to Mr. Egon and Heino Stache for their invention.
Today, with about 3000 units installed on board ships, power plants and industrial boilers, the 5 variants of the CD92 Homogenizer systems, are proven equipments in reducing sludge formation in residual fuel oil grades thereby optimizing fuel oil consumption. They are also proven for reducing reciprocating engine combustion noxious gaseous exhaust emission.
